Seremban Beef Noodles : Reviewed

I was brought this place many years back by my previous boss when during the weekends, my boss and me were part of a golf group that travelled all over the country to play golf. This little group took me all the way from penang to johor to play golf.  There was this one time we all went to seremban to play.  After the session, my boss told us about this place which was "apparently" very famous.  Obviously I didn't know anything about it cos back then I ain't a person who would purposely drive about an hour just to eat.

And the thing is, it was located in a wet market. And we allll know how a wet market will smell right?  The fish and the dan lain lain smells.  This food court is located on the 2nd floor of the wet market, the market stalls are basically on the ground floor. There is a flight of stairs at the side so you don't have to weather the strong pungent smell of the market.
The sign up there says it all ain't it.

Once up there, there are plenty of stalls, I attached the pic here so that you can identify which is the one that is apparently very famous ever since the 50s.  Stall number 742.  Make sure u get it right.  The son of the original owner is running it now.  When i first tasted this, a grand old man was making the noodles.  I assume it was the dad. I might be wrong though. Maybe this guy bought the old man out or something. Who knows right?
I assume its the son that took over the business.
When I got back to KL, I told my family and about this place that I went to.  My dad immediately said, OH YEAH...I use to go there all the time. Its super good.  I was surprised that my parents know about this place and didn't plan on telling me. WTF!!. Don be confused when you are up at the food court area, there are plenty of beef noodles stalls around.  One common mistake that people make is going to the one that looks the cleanest and have the most variety.  Most people go to this stall below. Stall number 748. THIS IS THE WRONG STALL.  Yes it looks cleaner and have more variety then Stall 742.  Make no mistake, Stall 742 ONLY sells ONE (1) type.  That sorta tells you what they are famous for rite.

THIS IS THE WRONG STALL. MANY PEOPLE MAKE THIS MISTAKE!!!
Ok, of all the types of beef noodles that you tried in KL, the Seremban style is somewhat different. And you gotto try it to know it. Take a look at the photo below and you will know what I mean. Over the years, flation kicked in and this cost RM5 per bowl.  I still remember previously when it was only RM3.50 per bowl. :(
SUPER YUMMY!

Each order comes with a standard bowl of beef soup. As usual, I was being very friendly with the owner when I went over to order my 2nd bowl, he gave me a extra large serving of the soup at no additional charge. :D

Verdict : The quality and the uniqueness of the famous Seremban Beef Noodle is maintained. I will definitely go back there again.

For those that don't know where is the market exactly,  its fairly simple.  Follow the steps that I took and you will be there. Seremban aint a big place. You just have to drive around a bit in town and there it is.

Coming from KL using he Plus Highway:
1) Go towards Johor Bahru/Seremban
2) Take the exit when you see SEREMBAN
3) Pay the toll keep left and just drive all the way straight into the town center (Pusat Bandar)
4) Make a right and probably look out for JALAN PASAR. and there it is.
(disclaimer: i might be wrong. my memory aint that good)

For those that uses GPS, just key in Jalan Pasar.

Enjoy!!!
