Dating Tips for Men : A MUST Read!

Here is my personal list for dating. Top 10 tips for men who wishes to end up tops in the dating scene.  In no particular order.

1) Sort out your hygiene and styling.

Style yourself up. Hair, clothes, accessories etc etc. Depending on the female that you are dating, style yourself based on what you assume her preference is.  If you don't know her preference, then keep your style simple and up to date.  A majority of females out there don't wish to go on a date with someone who has blue/red/blond hair.  Choose a style that makes you stand out but don't overshadow her. Most women don't wish to be overshadowed. Women are particularly more up to date with current fashion trends, so if you are a guy, what do you do??? READ UP!!! Being metrosexual in these modern times is cool. Despite what you might hear from other guy friends, IT IS NOT GAY! You wanna score points with the opposite sex, then be METROSEXUAL!

2) Pick her up and be willing to wait for her.

Every female likes to be treated like a princess.  On your first date, always PICK HER UP. Don't expect her to meet you at the place that you made reservations.  If you do that, not only you reduce your chances of scoring brownie points, you lose the element of surprise with your choice of cuisine. 

3) Make Reservations in EVERY type of cuisine type within your budget range.

Why I say this?? 50% of the women out there wishes to take control and the other 50% would rather the male makes the decision on where to bring her on the first date.  There is just no pleasing women.  If you already know what type of food your girl likes, then its straight forward.  But if you don't, then this is the best way. WHY?? lets just say, you ask her right after picking her up, "Hi, where or what kinda food do you prefer tonight???" and if she replies "I don't mind. Why don't you choose." Your reply should be "I was thinking either japanese, italian or western". Just make sure you mention cuisines that you have already made reservations for. Then all is good.  Flip it to another situation, when you ask her what or where would she like to eat tonight and her answer is "I think I would like Japanese". Ding ding ding....your reply should be "That's fantastic, I thought you would like that, thats why i made reservations at XXXX". Right at the start of the date....plus 100 points. :D

4) Never ever go dutch on the First Date.

What are you? stupid?? Cardinal mistake of dating. Making your date pay for her portion is basically shooting yourself in the foot and also killing any chance of having a 2nd date. Though some females out there are more tolerant but why reduce your chance of a 2nd date. If you want a second date that is. If you think you don't want a 2nd date with her and thats why you go dutch, remember one more thing, NETWORKING. she had friends.  In future, another girl that you might want to ask out is in fact this girl's friends and we all know how women talk. And if they talk, your chances of even scoring a 1st date with another girl will be virtually zero. Why kill your own reputation. Keep it cool and pay for the bill. Don't be branded as a cheapskate. Dating needs money, so make sure u have some before you start dating.

5) Make preparations for Entertainment.

If say you are going on the first date with her, and you don't know her musical preference, then cover all your bases. Most people in KL have iphones, itouch or ipods. Load up ur musical device with ALL genres of music. Pop, sentimental, classical, rock, retro...whatever you may dig up.  Personally, listening to the radio while you are on your way to a restaurant is stupid.  You are wasting another avenue where you can impress her.  Prepare yourself musically. And keep ur music up to date. Ask her what kinda music she prefers. Whatever her answer may be, you will be prepared. If she says she doesn't mind, then its basically safe to put some sentimental or something that sets the mood. Make yourself her personal jukebox.

6) Be in the know.

Read up on current affairs. National politics, world politics, fashion news, entertainment news...whatever and however. Women do not appreciate stupidity and laziness is not excuse for sounding dumb. Women appreciate opinions with basis. Don't even try to attempt this if you only know 10% of what you are trying to talk about.

7) Never go to the movies for the first date.

Why would you go and do that? You lose the opportunity to get to know her and also you lose the opportunity to impress her and eliminate the possibility of her getting to know you. Don't be a dumbass.

8) Don't be a show off.

Women of substance despise show offs. The really rich don't need to tell. People already know. The semi rich are the ones that has to boast and try to elevate themselves.  If you do this, you are either just a little rich and being a show off kicks you all the way down in her list.  If you are not, then you are basically lying and you will be caught. No female likes to be told how rich and powerful you are. Those that likes it, aren't really interested in you anyway. They are after your money or your perceived ownership of money more.  Then it doesn't makes them any different from a whore. So why impress her? Logical?

9) Start Listening and stop Talking.

Every female out there likes a listening ear. She will give you the opportunity to talk and when she does, answer her question.  You might wanna pull off some mystery every now and then just to keep her intrigued but don't over do it.  Tell her what she wanna know (sometimes). Keep her hooked. she will bore easily if you are turning yourself into a one man circus where everything is about you you you and you. Listen to things that she tells you and REMEMBER them. Remembering things she told you will impress her more. Women seldom repeat things, and if you picked it up even the subtle hints, you will score points.

10) Send her home and walk her to the door. 

As mentioned, every female likes to be treated like a princess, be a gentleman and walk her to her door. When there, don't expect a kiss. Don't even try to steal a kiss. I like to make women want me and hence i don't wanna come off as being a desperado. If you are trying to steal a kiss or something, then you will undo all the impressions that you made during the date. If she makes the move to give you a kiss, then be gracious and return the kiss. If she doesn't make any move then just look into her eyes, make her think u wanna kiss her. The keyword here is MAKE HER THINK!!!. when she think u will press forward and do it, say good bye and walk away. dun even ask for a second date. Don't do anything. Just walk away after sending her to the door. This will leave her bewildered and sometimes make her have a WTF moment. Then your chances of scoring a 2nd date will almost be 100%.  This is provided she shows her intrigue in you during the date.
